Major Artists Provide Items for Auction To Benefit Local Charity

November 12, 2008 – Rock Legend Brian Johnson of AC/DC and world-renowned artist Michael Israel are teaming up to help break the cycle of child abuse, neglect and abandonment in the Sarasota Community as part of the All-Star Children’s Foundation’s 4th Annual Celebrity Gala & Golf Tournament.

Johnson has donated a piece of rock and roll history to the Foundation - a drumhead used in the recording of their recently released #1 album, Black Ice. The drumhead has been signed by all of the band members and was used on the track “Money Made”. This track was produced in Vancouver at the Warehouse Studio between February and April 2008.  The drumhead is being auctioned off on eBay now through November 23rd, with all proceeds benefiting the All-Star Children’s Foundation. The drumhead has been framed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Michael Israel’s recent painting of Warren Buffet is currently garnering bids of $100,000 on eBay and he will be creating one-of-a-kind paintings at this year’s 4th Annual All-Star Children’s Foundation Gala & Golf Tournament as well. These paintings will be auctioned off at the Gala, with all proceeds benefiting the All-Star Children’s Foundation. Israel’s paintings have sold for up to $250,000.
